On the occasion of the passing out of Ab-initio trainees of Air and Ground Streams, an impressive Parade was conducted at Air Force Station, Jalahalli in Bengaluru on October 17, 2018. 1241 airmen trainees (including 25 Foreign Trainees of Friendly Foreign Countries) successfully completed their training. The Parade was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal Kshirsagar, Senior Maintenance Officer, HQ Training Command.
The training programme was designed to equip the trainees for future warfare, which would be short and intense, through e-learning and practical training.
On his arrival at the Station, the Chief Guest was received by Air Commodore S Ramakrishnan, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Jalahalli. The Parade was witnessed by personnel from HQ Training Command, other IAF Units, sister Services and Civilian dignitaries. The proud parents of the passing out trainees also attended the ceremony in large numbers. The Reviewing Officer presented the trophies to the Best in Trade to LAC Rohit Verma for Communication Technical Trade, LAC Gourav Saini for Electronic Fitter Trade, LAC Subhash Chand for Operations Asst (Air Defence) Trade, LAC Pranjul Shukla for Operations Asst (Air Traffic Services) Trade, LAC Pranay Agnihotri for Electrical Fit (R) Ground Trade and LAC Pawan for Electrical Fit (R) Aviation Trade. LAC Pranjul Shukla secured the Best All Rounder Trophy.
The Chief Guest congratulated all the passing out trainees and felicitated promising trainees who had performed well in different fields. He emphasized that the country has reposed enormous trust in each one of them to guard the Air Frontier of the Nation and reiterated the need to utilize this training in pursuance of excellence in their respective fields to achieve professional goals. He also lauded the tremendous efforts put up by the instructional staff and those connected with the training, both directly and indirectly at the Training Institutes and Air Force Station, Jalahalli.
