AMC Centre & College Lucknow celebrated the 254th Anniversary of the raising of the Army Medical Corps on April 3, 2018. Lt Gen Anup Banerji, Commandant AMC Centre & College and OIC Records of AMC paid homage in a solemn wreath laying ceremony held at AMC War Memorial in honour of the men and women of AMC who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Lt Gen Anup Banerji reviewed a fascinating Ceremonial Parade at the historic Platinum Jubilee Parade Ground on April 2, 2018 to commemorate the occasion. The parade consisting of eight Officers, 13 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and 266 Other Ranks (OR) was commanded by Lt Col Sharat Chandra. The smartly attired and well turned out AMC soldiers showcased a fine display of march past which was reviewed by the Commandant. The impressive parade was marked by military precision and customary elegance.
Lt Gen Anup Banerji also addressed a large gathering of officers and troops in a Special Sainik Sammelan on the occasion at AMC open air auditorium. He exhorted all ranks of Army Medical Corps to strive hard to maintain the high standard of training imparted so that the best of care can be rendered to the sick and wounded both during war and peace. Lt Gen Anup Banerji congratulated all ranks for tireless and exemplary service rendered across the country and abroad during natural calamities to keep the flag of Army Medical Corps flying high. He conveyed his best wishes to all ranks and their families on the occasion of the 254th Corps Day of the AMC and prayed for good health and prosperity.
A host of events were organized for the occasion over the last one week. Pagal Gymkhana, traditional Barakhana and AMC Mela were also organized during the celebrations where all ranks and families participated.
