The Shaheed Swabhimaan Yatra, taken out with the aim of creating consciousness in the people of the country towards the martyrs, reached Nagpur (Kamptee) on April 27, 2018 after covering several states of the country.
The Yatra was inaugurated by the representative of Chief of Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat, Major General Ashok Narula in New Delhi last month. Organised by the Swabhimaan Desh Ka organization, the yatra is to cover all 29 States of the country before finally reaching Delhi.
The three months long yatra has been organised under the leadership of Swabhimaan Desh Ka National President Surender Singh Bidhuri. The Shaheed Swabhmaan Yatra reached Kamptee from Hyderabad. It had started from Delhi and has covered Jaipur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Ujjain, Bhopal, Indore, Nashik, Mumbai, Pune, Goa and Hyderabad. The team comprises of 13 people and is led by Mr Surender Singh Bidhuri.
At Kamptee, the team interacted with troops. Thereafter, they paid respects to the martyrs of the Guards Regimental Centre, by laying a wreath at the War Memorial. The team was then flagged off by Colonel CK Rajesh Deputy Commandant Guards Regimental Centre. The team will proceed to Raipur from Kamptee.
