Veterans & Veer Naris Welfare and Medical Camp at Ranchi
Veterans & Veer Naris Welfare & Medical Camp was successfully conducted on March 18, 2018 at Dipatoli Military Station (Ranchi), under the aegis of HQ Jharkhand & Bihar Sub Area (Madhya Bharat Area), by the 'Cockerel' Division. The camp saw a large turnout of approximately 1200 Veterans, Veer Naris, Widows & Dependents from all districts of Jharkhand. Special invitees to the event were eleven 'World War II' Veterans who were felicitated by Maj Gen Rupinder Singh, VSM. Veterans and Veer Naris not only had the opportunity to interact with respective Record offices but also civil administration officials, Sainik Kalyan Nideshalaya, ECHS etc. In order to facilitate speedy redressal of pension grievances representatives from 'Central Pension Processing Cell' (SBI & PNB) were present. Another important aspect was the Medical Camp, which provided OPD of Eye, Medical, Surgical, Dental and General services to approx 150 Veterans during the camp. Maj Gen Rupinder Singh,VSM highlighted the creation of a dedicated 'ESM Cell' at the 'Cockerel' Division to proactively meet the aspirations and welfare of the Veterans and Veer Naris of the region.
