Army Organises Capacity Building Tour For Rajouri Youth
Army organised 10 days capacity building tour from February 19 to 28, 2018 for Rajouri youth with an aim to expose the students to 'Animal Husbandry'. The students were taken to various premier institutes in the field of R&D for cattle in the state of Haryana and Punjab viz. Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes sub center, Patiala, National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes, National Research center on Equines and Central Sheep Breeding Farm, Hisar.
The students met Governor of J&K, Shri NN Vohra and Lt Gen Saranjeet Singh, GOC White Knight Corps and shared their inspirational exposure during the tour. The Governor encouraged them to establish their own enterprise in various fields of cattle rearing & utilize Government schemes for establishing Dairy farms, Poultry farms, Fisheries etc. He also urged the Youth to spread the message of importance of education and strive to become responsible citizens by contributing towards steady progress of the region.
GOC White Knight Corps emphasised on the importance of education and role of the youth in nation building. He motivated the youth to follow their heart and work hard to make a better life for themselves and their families. The students expressed their gratitude for giving them the opportunity and meaningful exposure to upgrade their awareness in field of Animal Husbandry. The youth assured of their progressive participation in the society & nation building.
