Shaping Future Naval Leadership - In the run up to the Passing out Parade ceremony scheduled on May 26, 2018 at Indian Naval Academy (INA), all cadets of the Academy participated in the Academy Dinner Night on May 19, 2018 at Katari Cadets' Mess. The cadets' mess is named after Vice Admiral Ram Dass Katari – the first Indian Chief of Naval Staff after Independence.
Vice Admiral RB Pandit, Commandant handed over the most coveted CNS Trophy for Champion Squadron to Braveheart squadron and gave away awards for individual excellence to the cadets of the passing out courses during this event.
Midshipman Mayank Sekhar from INAC (BTech) course was awarded the CNS trophy for best in service subjects. Midshipman Suyash Singh was awarded FOC-IN-C (South) trophy for standing first in Overall Order of Merit in INAC (MSc). FOC-IN-C (West) trophy for most promising Naval Orientation Course (Extended) cadet was awarded to Cadet Utkarsh Chhajed. FOC-IN-C (East) trophy for most promising Naval Orientation Course (Regular) cadet was awarded to Cadet Shruti Pandit. Cadet Kyaw Zin Htet from Myanmar bagged the FOC-IN-C (South) trophy for best International cadet and Cadet Himanshu Singh Yadav was awarded the DGCG trophy for best Assistant Commandant.
