Defence Accounts Department observes first week of December as 'Training and Development Week'. During the week various activities were organized to foster the spirit of learning and professionalism. A function was organized on 5th December at Centre for Training and Development (CENTRAD), Delhi Cantt. on this occasion. Smt Veena Prasad, IDAS, Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. At the onset Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts, New Delhi apprised the CGDA about the initiatives taken towards Human Resource Development through continuous learning and setting up a conducive eco-system for this purpose to training and all round development. Ms. Amrita Panda, Dy. CDA made a comprehensive presentation on initiatives undertaken and milestones achieved towards professionalism through continuous learning. An in-house e-magazine SRIJAN of the PCDA, New Delhi was released by the CGDA. The CGDA emphasized on human resource development through proper training and development of the workforce. She expressed her satisfaction over the emphasis laid by the PCDA New Delhi to impart necessary knowledge, skill and inculcate appropriate attitude among its officers and staff. Thirteen Officers and staff who have shined to excel in their work sphere during the current year were awarded commendation certificates by the CGDA.
Each Group Officer along with its supervisory staff presented initiatives undertaken during the 70 days, following the Independence Day, 2017 to observe this year as 'Year of Excellence'. Col Rajul Kumar Gupta, MD (Community Medicine) PhD (Applied Nutrition) presently working with Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services presented an informative and educative talk on 'Lifestyle Management'. Senior IDAS officer Shri Krishan Kant Singh, Director Cabinet Secretariat, discussed the need to streamline the mundane tasks to save time, energy and standardize the formats usually adopted in Government departments. The programme concluded by a chorus devotional song by the staff.
