GOC Dakshin Bharat Area visits Sainik Aramghar at Secunderabad
Lieutenant General RK Anand, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Dakshin Bharat Area and Major General N Srinivas Rao GOC Telangana and Andhra Sub Area inspected the Golden Palm Transit Facility works being executed by Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) at Old Gandhi Hospital premises in Secunderabad.
HMRL is constructing Golden Palm Transit Facility (Rest House) for the soldiers and Military Officers in about 1.68 acre near Secunderabad Railway station in lieu of 2.15 acre of Defence land given to HMRL for construction of Metro Station at Parade Ground. The four-storied Transit Facility (Sainik Aramghar) with a built up area of 5629 Sqm is being constructed at a cost of Rs 9.4 Crores. The work is in advanced stage of completion and is a fine example of civil-military cooperation. This will provide transit facility at Secunderabad Railway station to soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Later both the Generals visited the renovated ECHS polyclinic, Secunderabad that had undergone a major facelift since its inauguration. The renovation project was initiated to improve and upgrade the facilities and services to provide better healthcare for Veterans visit the polyclinic.
General Anand complimented Major General N Srinivas Rao, GOC, Telangana and Andra Sub Area for the initiatives undertaken by the formation to enhance the quality of healthcare to veterans. He interacted with veterans and enquired about their problems and suggestions for improvement.
