The General Officer has excelled in various professional courses during his service and has many achievements to his credit. He is a Graduate of the Defence Service Staff College, Wellington and has studied at the Royal College of Defence Studies, London, UK.
Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh, took over as Chief of Staff, Western Naval Command on January 15, 2018. Vice Admiral AB Singh was the Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Strategic Forces Command prior to his current appointment.
An alumnus of National Defence Academy, Vice Admiral AB Singh was commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1, 1983. He is a specialist in Navigation and Aircraft Direction and his important specialist appointments include Navigating Officer of INS Kamorta (during Op Pawan), and the destroyer INS Ranjit, besides being the Fleet Navigating Officer of Western Fleet during Op Prakaram.
The Flag Officer has commanded IN Ships Veer (Missile Vessel), Vindhyagiri (Frigate), Trishul (Guided Missile Frigate) and Viraat (Aircraft Carrier). He has also been an instructor at NDA, Khadakwasla, Navigation and Direction School, Kochi and Directing Staff at DSSC Wellington. The Flag Officer was awarded with Vishisht Seva Medal in 2011 and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2016 for his exemplary service to the nation.
Rear Admiral Amit Bose, took over as the Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam on January 12, 2018.
Rear Admiral Amit Bose was commissioned as an Electrical Officer on March 31, 1985 and holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science. The Flag Officer has held a variety of key Operational, Staff and Dockyard appointments which includes the Commanding Officer INS Tunir, Principal Director of Electrical Engineering at the Integrated Headquarters Ministry of Defence (IHQ MoD) (Navy), Deputy General Manager (Weapons) at Naval Dockyard Mumbai, Deputy Director Weapons Equipment at IHQ MoD(Navy) and the Commander Electrical of INS Tabar.
The Admiral is a recipient of the Visishit Seva Medal for distinguished service.
Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, NM took over the Command of Eastern Fleet at an impressive ceremony held on January 15, 2018 in Naval Base, Visakhapatnam.
Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi is a specialist in Communication and Electronic Warfare. He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He has also completed the Naval Higher Command Course and Naval Command College at the US Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island where he won the prestigious Robert E Bateman International Prize.
His Sea commands include the stealth frigate INS Trishul and the indigenous built ships INS Vinash and INS Kirch.
