A first ever Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Kochi Hospital Conclave - 2018 was conducted at the Naval Base, by Regional Centre, ECHS, Kochi on July 16, 2018.
Commodore A Venugopal, Regional Director ECHS, while welcoming the delegates to the Conclave thanked all stakeholders for supporting and helping the scheme in providing most befitting medical facilities to the ex-servicemen, who had served the Nation with distinction. He also lauded the adoption of technology and timely policy implementation, which enabled the ECHS scheme to ensure an efficient delivery mechanism.
The function was attended by approximately 120 serving/ retired service personnel, Officers in Charge of all the ECHS Polyclinics, Senior Executive Medical Officers (SEMOs) from Service hospitals and representatives of more than 50 empanelled hospitals such as Amrita Hospital, Aster Medicity, Specialists Hospital etc., as-well-as non-empanelled hospitals, spread across Kerala. The event was aimed at creating a synergy amongst all stake holders and to ensure that medical facilities are provided in consonance with the objectives of the ECHS.
During the conclave, hospitals were briefed about all aspects of the latest policies pertaining to ECHS. The conclave enabled better understanding between all agencies involved in the implementation of the scheme. It was also of immense benefit to ECHS members, empanelled hospitals and administrative staff.
