Medical Camp Organized by the Army at Boniyar
A Medical Camp was organised by the Rampur Military Garrison in village Gagarhill, Boniyar. The camp was a goodwill gesture by the Army to promote health care and provide medical facilities to people living in remote areas in close proximity to the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Medical Camp at Gagarhill provided for health care, hygiene & sanitation to the villagers living in remote areas. The camp has tremendously benefitted the villages of Gagarhill, Jabri, Sumwali and Chotali.
At the camp, three doctors including two lady doctors treated approximately 200 patients. Free medicines were also distributed to patients. The Medical Officer educated the local women on health related aspects such as hygiene, sanitation, family planning, importance of breast feeding, immunisation of children & antenatal care of pregnant women.
The distribution of sweets to children, tea and refreshments served at the venue were appreciated by the locals. The army utilized the occasion to interacted with Sarpanch, Panchayat members and other prominent people present during the camp.
The Medical Camp at Boniyar further strengthened the bond between the Army and locals. Villagers of the area expressed their gratitude and extended their whole hearted support to the Army.
