Vajra Corps celebrated the 70th Infantry Day with traditional solemnity and gaiety on October 27, 2017. Major General Balwinder Singh, Chief of Staff Vajra Corps, laid wreath at `Vajra Shaurya Sthal' in Jalandhar and paid homage to the fallen heroes.

Golden Arrow Division celebrated 70th Infantry Day at Ferozepur, in line with the traditions of the Indian Army. The day commenced with Maj Gen Rajesh Kundra, General Officer Commanding Golden Arrow Division, officers and troops paying homage to the martyrs at the Barki War Memorial followed by unit level Barakhana for all ranks in the afternoon.
To commemorate Infantry Day, and to pay befitting salutation to our soldiers, who have made the supreme sacrifice, all serving and retired Indian army officers in and around Nagpur were hosted at the Guards Regimental Centre, Kamptee. Brig DV Singh, Comdt, GRC, welcomed all the guests and reiterated that it is a constant endeavour to be in touch with our veterans both past and present to build camaraderie, bonhomie, loyalty and goodwill amongst each one of us. Commandant paid his compliments to the entire team of infantry men for their gallant and distinguished contribution and making this day very special.    Brig AK Sharma, VSM, senior most Infantry offr, Brig AK Tripathi, Dy GOC, HQ Purva UP & MP Sub Area and Maj Gen MN Rawat, PVSM (Retd) senior most Veteran laid the wreaths on behalf of the Infantry fraternity at the Yudh Smarak in a solemn ceremony conducted to remember the brave hearts. Maj Gen Anil Duvedi, GOC, HQ Purva UP & MP Sub Area complimented all the Infantry men for the devotion to duty and indomitable spirit while working under trying and difficult conditions. He acknowledged their tremendous contribution in maintaining the sanctity of the nation's border and fighting terrorism.
Infantry Day was commemorated at Ahmedabad Military Station on October 27, 2017 with paying of homage and tributes to the sacrifices made by the brave Infantrymen in ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country. Rich tributes were paid to the martyrs at the Golden Katar War Memorial. The Wreath was laid by General Officer Commanding Golden Katar Division, Major General Anil Puri.
