Lt Gen Sarath Chand, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Western Command visited Alwar Military Station. He was accompanied by Lieutenant General Shokin Chauhan, General Officer Commanding Strike One Corps and Lieutenant General Ashwini Kumar, General Officer Commanding Chetak Corps.
The Army Commander visited the Army units and formations in the station. He was briefed on their operational role and battle readiness. He also reviewed the training and welfare projects being undertaken in the station. He was briefed on the measures undertaken to enhance the quality of life of the troops and creation of a stress free congenial atmosphere.
The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief congratulated all ranks of the station for their sustained hard work and the excellent standards achieved. He exhorted all ranks to maintain the highest level of readiness to deal with any situation.
Mrs Bindu Sarath Chand, who also accompanied the GOC-in-C, visited the Vocational Training Centre established for training of wives and wards of army personnel. She also interacted with 'young minds' of the Army Public Schools and other schools run by the army in the station. The visit has boosted the morale of the troops in Alwar Military Station and has given a new impetus to their dedication and zeal.
