MoS for Defence Visits Western Naval Command
Minister of State (MoS) for Defence Dr Subhash Bhamre visited the Western Naval Command of the Indian Navy during his visit to Mumbai on November 11, 2016. He was received by Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Naval Command at the Headquarters and was also given an overview of the scope and charter of activities of the Command. He then proceeded to visit one of the Navy's front line warship, a guided missile destroyer, INS Kochi. The MoS for Defence was received onboard INS Kochi by the Commanding Officer and thereafter taken around the ship, including the Operations Room and the Machinery Control Room. The MoS for Defence evinced keen interest in the ship and had interactions with the officers and men aboard.
