Visit To AWWA Projects by Guests from Sri Lanka
Mrs Nayana De Silva, spouse of the Chief of the Commander Sri Lanka Army, visited AWWA projects at Army Skill Training Centre (ASTC), Aahwan, Asha School and Vishwas on October 24, 2016.
ASTC was the first one to be visited by the guest lady and was received by Mrs Namita Suhag, President AWWA. ASTC, a newly launched project has four courses running under Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY).  The courses run are Stitching, Block Printing, Computer Data Entry and Beauty and Wellness.  Mrs De Silva was pleased to see the facilities in ASTC, and complimented President AWWA for such a noble project.
The guest then visited Aahwan, wherein she appreciated the project that contributes directly to women empowerment. She also made many purchases from the same.
The guest lady and President AWWA then visited Asha School, where she presented Gift Hampers to school children.  She complimented the school for the high standards being maintained and the quality of equipment being used.  She then visited Vishwas Project and was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of work being done by differently abled children.  She interacted with the children and wished them good luck.
In the end the visiting guest appreciated the genuine welfare initiatives of AWWA and complimented President AWWA and the volunteers for their selfless service for the noble cause.
