Lamp lighting ceremony of IIIrd batch of BSc Nursing students of College of Nursing, Army Hospital (AH)(R&R) was held on November 9, 2016 at Ayurvigyan Auditorium, AH (R&R). The special day paved a new milestone in the history of College of Nursing, AH (R&R) as 30 budding nursing students adorned themselves in newly designed uniform. This new outfit will definitely make them more confident to excel in their field and will take nursing profession to greater heights.
Chief Guest for the ceremony, Lt Gen SD Duhan, Commandant Army Hospital (R&R) gave away the prizes to the meritorious students – Nursing Cadets Tamanna, Shalu, Parul, Ankita Mitra, Jyotsna, Arunima GP, Probationer Nurses Ms Ching and Ms Sheetal. He stressed that the students should not only enhance their knowledge, skill and competence but also learn the techniques of soft skills.
In an impressive ceremony, the lit lamp was passed from Additional DG MNS Maj Gen Sushila Shahi, to Maj Gen Elizabeth John, Principle Matron, AH (R&R), to the teachers and then to the students emphasizing the passing of knowledge and soft skill from one generation to the next.
