Post Basic Bsc (Nursing) Course Launched at College of Nursing, Command Hospital, Lucknow
The Post Basic BSc (Nursing) course was launched by Major General Sushila Shahi, Additional Director General (ADG) Military Nursing Service at College of Nursing, Command Hospital, Central Command, Lucknow.
The Post Basic BSc Nursing course is a bridge course for Diploma Nurses to become graduates. The first batch commenced from this academic session with an intake of 15 Nursing Officers.
Major General Sushila Shahi congratulated Colonel Leena Kumari PR and all faculty members on the achievement and encouraged the students to imbibe the qualities of good workmanship with technical competence and develop empathy for being a good nurse and upholding the motto of the Military Nursing Service "Service with Smile".
Colonel Leena Kumari PR, Principal delivered the welcome address. The occasion was also graced by Senior Officers and Nursing Officers.
Under the dynamic leadership and vision of Major General Vibha Dutta, Commandant, Command Hospital, Central Command, Lucknow, the College has achieved a milestone by the commencement of Post Basic BSC (Nursing) course of two years duration from the academic year 2016-17. The programme is run as per the directives of the Indian Nursing Council and King George Medical University, Lucknow. The mission of the Institution is to prepare professionally excellent, clinically competent and compassionate nurses to render exemplary nursing care to soldiers of the tri-services and their families in preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative aspects of health care.
